"Kalynovy Tsvit" Folk Group

Folk group "Kalynovyi Tsvit" was founded in 1995 at Lutsk Gymnasium 18 by Galyna Oryshchuk.

The main goal of the group is to preserve and spread the traditions, songs and folk heritage of the Volyn region. Its diverse and rich repertoire includes ritual performances, games, children's entertainments, household pictures that recreate the customs and traditions of our ancestors.The members of this group are school students who support and follow its goals. Every year the number of participants constantly increases. The band members prepared a number of ceremonial compositions: "We go from house to house with carols", "Shchedrivonka-dobrivonka", "Oh you, red spring", "Street", "Merry Fair", "Dew Collection", "Oh on Ivan, oh on Kupala", "Bush with a bush, rye with growth", "Obzhynki", "Wedding invitations", "Walking on logs", etc.Participants of the folklore group "Kalynovyi Tsvit" are winners and laureates of many festivals and competitions. Among them are "International Festival of Ukrainian Folklore Berehynia" Lutsk; Slavonic Wreath (Bulgaria); "Rolling Bag" (Dubno); 2003 (Poland), Days of Bavarian Culture in Munich, "Podlasie Autumn" (Poland), Green Holidays (Pyrogovo) and others.
