Podilski Tovtry National Nature Park

Podilski Tovtry National Nature Park is one of the seven wonders of Ukraine. It's located in Khmelnytska Oblast.Tovtry is the only mountain ridge in the world, formed not by tectonic processes but as a result of vital functions of living organisms.Visually Tovtry are picturesque foothills of the Carpathians. In total, there are 160 such hills. Different by height, covered with trees or not, all of them have one common feature: the west side's slope is steep, but the east side's one is gentler. Similar mountain ridges are situated only in the UK and the US. The park's area covers 2,613.16 km2. There are hiking trails for all tastes: walking, horseback riding, ski, water, car and bike trips. Everything depends on the season and tourists’ preferences.Tourists agencies organize excursions to Tovtry, catarafting and kayaking down the Dnister River, horseback ridings. Skiing, hand gliding, paragliding, balloon flights and ships tours are popular as well.
