Brief

"Vpered" Newspaper is a local magazine of Yarmolynechchyna.
This work participates in the "Ukrainian brands in global trends" contest.November 1931 was a trouble time, but with hope for a better future: new plants and factories were built. Stalin and his ideological team did everything to ensure that the collective farm system in the countryside was finally consolidated. The peasants were told that by uniting in the “kolkhozs”, they would get rid of troubles. There was a struggle with the so-called "hindus", people who managed their farms independently. But often even the poorer sections of the population fell under repressions. And in order to avoid panic, it was necessary to conduct daily ideological work. In a line with this was decided to establish printed newspapers in every district, even in every machine-tractor station. At that time appeared also newspaper about which I want you to tell. Firstly it was named "Kolhospnyk Prikordonnya", which was logically connected with the geographical position of Yarmolynechchyna. The word “kolhospnyk” generalized the state vision of the superiority of collective farming. The newspaper was published under strict party control, and therefore the terrible events of the Holodomor of 1932-1933, Stalin's repressions, and others were silenced on its pages. From the height of years in the meantime, the newspaper has changed its name and appearance. With great excitement, I carefully hold in my hands the 67th issue of "Kolhospnyk Prikordonnya" from May 14, 1940. The pages, yellowed by time, send out history with the slogan is "Workers of the world, unite!". The newspaper consists of two pages with photos. The newspaper was very popular, with a circulation of 3,200 copies, printed in Yarmolynets printing house. But ten years after, it became necessary to revise its name, because the situation changed - in 1939 the border moved west to the Carpathian Mountains. As turned out later, the new name"Lenin's Way" was chosen by the regional executive committee. The newspaper grew and changed not only appearance but become bigger with new columns. Its new slogans - "moving forward", "rapid rise" - fully corresponded with its new title “Vpered” (Forward), which it received on June 1, 1962.Now it has preserved its name and remains relevant even in the modern world!
